Wallpaper has always had staying power, but in recent years, it’s shed its dated reputation. The nostalgia for patterned walls is real, but today’s designs are anything but old-fashioned. Textures are more refined. Materials are more advanced. Installation is easier. And the creative potential? Limitless.

Take our Postmodern Naturals living room. We used Braided in Banshee from the Natural Principles Collection to add depth and visual rhythm behind the custom bar cabinet, softening the architectural lines while creating a textural moment that feels timeless and modern.

This Is Not Your Grandmother’s Wallpaper

Gone are the overly floral, overly fussy prints of decades past. Today’s wallpaper is smarter, sleeker, and far more sophisticated.

Some key advancements:

Our Nautical Noir project showcases this shift beautifully. In the bathroom, we used Ascent in Dusty Path from our Natural Principles Collection, a wallpaper that brings movement and warmth without overpowering the minimal palette. The design nods to natural rock formations, but in a way that feels elevated, clean, and current.
